LOGMET supports Postal Operations of the Official mail Center (OMC), Postal Service Center (PSC), Central Mail Room (CMR), and mail delivery to Activity Distribution Offices (ADOs).
LOGMET maintains, and operates petroleum, missile, alternative and cryogenic facilities and equipment. Receives, stores, and issues, petroleum fuels and cryogenics products. Performs quality analysis on petroleum and cryogenics products. Performs operator maintenance on fuels handling equipment and facilities. Prepares receipt, inventory, and issue documents for fuels and cryogenic products accounting. Operates specialized mobility fuels equipment.

To understand and be truly effective supporting EAGLE Global Maintenance, Supply, Transportation, and related Logistics Missions/requirements, the BOA Prime Contractor must have both Corporate and Individual experience in all three functional areas, as well as proven performance leading and managing a BOA or Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). LOGMET has the optimal experience, skills, proven business systems, and past performance essential to successfully leading and supporting EAGLE functional and supporting logistics requirements, worldwide. Further, LOGMET has the functional experience and expertise to provide “Best-in-Class’, cost effective Maintenance, Supply, and Transportation Support Services to EAGLE Customers.
Every plane around the world requires an airfield in order to take off and land. These aircraft must be able to launch at a moment’s notice, so it’s imperative the airfield be safe and well maintained at all times. That responsibility is the duty of LOGMET’s Airfield Management specialists. It may sound like an easy job, but it’s not. LOGMET’s Airfield Management specialists ensure runways are clear of foreign objects and lighting systems function properly, in addition to responding to ground emergencies and communicating hazards to pilots. The safe takeoff and landing of aircraft, and more importantly their crews, rest squarely on our shoulders
Ammunition Handling Services
LOGMET performs all transportation, delivery, and pick-up missions as directed to deliver the required ammunition to the designated range at the time specified to ensure the timely conduct of all 434th FA Brigade Range and Training Operations.
Air Terminal Operations
LOGMET operated an Air Terminal Operations Center (ATOC), performing inspections and operations of aircraft loading equipment; drop zone recovery equipment, mobility/contingency function (i.e. load planning, pallet buildup, cargo courier responsibility and hazardous cargo preparation); and the preparation and rigging of loads and parachutes for aerial delivery loads. LOGMET inspects a variety of airdrop equipment. We perform airdrop inspections after priorities are set, work sequences are determined, and pertinent policy matters have been reviewed. Additionally, LOGMET rigs and prepares unilateral airdrop training loads to include type V or other airdrop platforms for airdrops. We determine storage location and stores cargo to protect against loss, theft, weather, and other damage. LOGMET receives, processes and categorizes shipments of cargo. Moreover, we facilitate on-time aircraft departures and work all United States (US) Government owned or operated aircraft and US sponsored foreign government.
LOGMET operates the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) base-level customer service function,, processing requests, storage, and issue of supplies and equipment procedures function provide customer service and research capabilities computer operations, maintain accountability records of equipment, reject management, operate the Hazardous Material Cell records maintenance, equipment management. This consists of a Management and Systems Flight, Procedures, Analysis, Training and Base level customer training, Combat Operations Support. Bench Stock, Retail Sales and Individual Equipment Unit (IEU) support is provided to deploying individuals contained in the reporting instructions and HAZMART. Logistics Material Control Activity
LOGMET provides the management and operation of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Logistics Material Control Activity (LMCA). The work will consist of the following general functions: maintenance of equipment authorized accountability requirements (Inventory Management), maintenance of Automated Material Control System (AMSC) requirements (Inventory Records), maintenance of the Information Processing Management System (IPMS), Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) records; processing of requests for supplies and equipment, and distribution of materials.
LOGMET performs a variety of maintenance functions to include Aerospace Ground Equipment maintenance and Depot Level Maintenance.
Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE). LOGMET pickups, delivers, paints, troubleshoot, repair, modify, inspect, and perform corrosion control and servicing of assigned powered and non-powered AGE. We maintain AGE and assigned support equipment in-commission and available at a rate of no less than 90 percent monthly.
Depot Level Maintenance. LOGMET provides depot level maintenance for The Navy for Airborne Surveillance and Battle Management Systems Integrated Systems. This system is a helicopter deployed, expendable, remotely operated; mine neutralization system that reacquires previously identified mines or locates mine-like objects.
Traffic Management Office/Personal Property
LOGMET processes excess cost rebuttals IAW AFPD 24-5, Transporting and Storing Personal Property. Moreover, they prepare documentation and arrange for the movement, including but not limited to local moves, Personally Procured Moves (PPM)/Do-It-Yourself (DITY) moves, Non-Temporary Storage (NTS), outbound domestic and international shipments of personal property. LOGMET coordinates pack and pickup dates with the customer and the responsible transportation officer at FISC Seal Beach in accordance with the customer’s needs. We make appointments for and perform individual face-to-face counseling with customers on transportation entitlements. LOGMET provides information during mass briefings or individual counseling sessions to DoD civilian and military personnel regarding the movement and storage of household goods (HHG), unaccompanied baggage (UB), privately owned vehicles (POVs), mobile homes by commercial or military means, the PPM/DITY move program, or self-procured movements.
Traffic Management Office. LOGMET provides travel for all DoD military and civilian personnel, their family members, and others approved IAW DoDR 4500.9-R, Defense Transportation Regulation, AFI 24-101, Passenger Movement, and DoDR 4515.13R, Air Transportation Eligibility. They advise the commercial travel office (CTO) management to identify all commercial airline reservations arranged by the traveler through other travel agencies in order to alleviate further occurrence of the same incident. Further, they make reservations for the movement of pet dogs and cats via AMC as required for permanent change of station moves. LOGMET annotates travel orders with a control number IAW DoDR 4500.9-R for all DoD-controlled aircraft travel. LOGMET determines the type of shipment, in coordination with the Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Seal Beach, and the mode of transportation for personal property shipments to meet the required delivery date and the needs of the LAAFB customer IAW DoDI 4500.34R. They maintain and operate the TOPPS IAW the TOPPS Administrative Maintenance Guide. Further, LOGMET assists the customer in the preparation and filing of Inconvenience Claims IAW DoDI 4500.34R.
Transient Aircraft Maintenance
LOGMET performs Transient Aircraft Services to include Transient Alert Management Control, Arrival Services, Processing Services, Departure Services, ground handling, aircraft forms documentation and (includes automated maintenance information systems (MIS). We partner with the community to continuously improve the quality of programs and services offered to customers, Additionally, LOGMET provides support to such special events as competitions, Open House/Air Shows, Change of Command ceremonies, Very Important Person/Distinguished Visitor (VIP/DV) meetings and conferences, ROTC Orientation and Civilian Fly-In events, etc.
LOGMET performs a myriad of transportation services to include: Base Shuttle, Base Taxi, Aircrew Transportation, Vehicle Operation and Vehicle Maintenance.
Base Shuttle. LOGMET provides base shuttle service to pick up at the scheduled points, drop people on the installation and then proceed back to original pick up locations. Shuttles will arrive approximately every 10 minutes.
Base Taxi. LOGMET provides base taxi support within a 50 mile radius of the installation for all assigned personnel and tenant units.
Aircrew Transportation . LOGMET provides transportation to aircrew to and from the aircraft and off installation locations.
Vehicle Operations and Vehicle Maintenance. LOGMET provides vehicle operations (including management of the fleet), maintenance, and security. We provide maintenance capability sufficient to ensure Minimum Essential Levels (MELs) are met and an overall Vehicle In-Commission Rate (VIC) of 90% for all assets (CFE and Government Lease). When levels fall below this standard, LOGMET rents/leases vehicles at no change in contract price to the Government. If a unit requires more vehicle types than what is assigned to them (short term), Vehicle Operations will provide support if possible. However, if assets are not available, it is the responsibility of the organization to fund for and obtain their own rental assets(s). LOGMET performs/complete scheduled services within 3 duty days from the time of receipt (turn-in) of vehicle, 80% of the time monthly. All repair actions are to begin within 2 days of turn in. Vehicles scheduled for maintenance will be turned in and assigned a work order prior to the due date. All vehicles turned in for maintenance are assigned a work order within two hours of receipt. LOGMET documents all cases of unit non-compliance with scheduled turn in dates. All unsatisfactory or missed repair actions will be re-accomplished prior to returning vehicle to user. All safety related and operator identified discrepancies are repaired with a 0% error rate.

In 2002, the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) promulgated Seapower 21. Seapower 21 provides a framework to align, organize and integrate the U.S. Navy to meet the wide variety of challenges that lie ahead. The CNO called upon the entire Navy to find ways to become more efficient and effective. To meet Seapower 21 objectives and to increase efficiency, the NAVSEA Warfare Centers established the Seaport Enhanced (Seaport-e) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) vehicle, using a web-based, e-business procurement Portal, to facilitate performance-based service acquisition, leverage buying power, improve business intelligence and reduce cycle time. In October 2004, the Virtual SYSCOM Commanders formalized an agreement to expand the ordering community of Seaport-e to include all Virtual SYSCOM activities and to leverage the success of Seaport-e in achieving the aforementioned objectives across the Virtual SYSCOM. Additionally, other activities, including the Military Sealift Command. Strategic Systems Programs, Office of Naval Research, Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), and the United States Marine Corp have chosen to use Seaport Enhanced.

Ability to monitor and maximize quality
The ability to maximize quality comes from the ability to manage and monitor performance of the required tasks. LOGMET implements tools and processes to measure the appropriate metrics for service delivery and enables the proper feedback to the stakeholders and the customer. The LOGMET approach is to develop a quality assurance plan, document processes and procedures, and conduct quality audits of project deliverables. LOGMET understands all stakeholders need the same insight into the project and the ability to monitor progress throughout. Quality is enhanced when the proper resources are assigned to the task, peer reviews and audits are conducted throughout task execution, and well defined procedures are established to handle the change required to mitigate the risks identified. This requires seamless and open communications with the client and the ability of leadership to minimize impacts to the overall effort.
Currently on all LOGMET projects; we conduct project reviews on a weekly basis. Cost, schedule, and technical performance are tracked as work progress is recorded and reviewed. Deviations from the project plan are documented in status reports and discussed on a weekly basis with the customer. These discussions and the activity status reports are focused on the work completed to date, the products delivered, a detailed accounting of funds and staff hours, and the status of funds available to complete the project. The project schedule will be reported along with proposed changes, reason for change, and any potential project impact. The Project Manager informed the customer of any and all potential problem areas and recommended solutions, problem risk areas and mitigation plans, and personnel reassignment impacts.
Approach to guarantee responsiveness to and cooperation with customers
Effective responsiveness and cooperation with customers is achieved through a well defined organizational structure and demonstrated leadership. The LOGMET Program Manager (PM) will ensure effective communications are established with the customer and all required stakeholders and partners. The LOGMET PM is responsible for ensuring customer requirements and expectations are documented and achieved. The PM will meet regularly with stakeholders to ensure project compliance and to review operational performance measures. Project team leaders will meet routinely to review current operations, customer relations, service delivery, project schedules and project cost. LOGMET understands that cooperation with the customer is crucial in the ability to deliver quality products, on schedule at cost. The ability of the PM to manage and track progress using automation and state of the art tools, enables timely and accurate information exchange with the customer.
